Which rooms have a conference room camera, and what types of cameras are available?
If a room contains a camera that can be connected to your laptop, it will be located either on top of the display, or below it.
Generally, Huddle Rooms use stationary/fixed-image cameras by Huddly.
Conference Rooms and Collectives use pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras by ClearOne or Vaddio.
The main difference between these two types of camera is that PTZ cameras are able to change their position by panning, tilting, and zooming to point at different locations in the room using a remote control or touchscreen control surface.
How do I connect my computer with the conference room camera?
- Locate the room’s USB cable or wall plug. Generally, Huddle rooms’ USB cables will be located at the end of the table. Conference and Connective rooms’ USB cables are generally located inside under a flip-top cover.
- Connect the cable to your computer. Note - if the room only contains a USB plug and is missing its USB cable, please contact on-site staff for assistance.
- Select the camera in your conferencing software. For detailed instructions, please select your preferred conferencing software below:
